- Detailed Specification
I wouldn’t be without Amelanchier canadensis in my garden. It's an absolute spring showstopper and then goes on to work hard in every other season of the year. It's perfect for both small and large gardens, In spring they display the most breathtaking show of starry white flowers. The blooms, slightly scented and produced by the trugfull, last a couple of weeks.
Whilst all that's going on the new leaves start to emerge. They first poke their noses out and are coppery red. They develop into a zingy green maturing to deep emerald. As autumn envelops the garden with its misty cloak, the leaves turn the most spectacular red and orange. Once the leaves have done their thing the black berries, dotted all over the plants, feed the birds well into winter. They really are a plant for all seasons.
This appealing plant is a lovely addition to your garden and can be placed in full sun or partial shade for you to appreciate the beauty it has to offer. The deciduous plant will bear colour at the start of spring through to the end of autumn and it will grow to 4m x 2.5m. The aesthetic of this plant is adjustable and we recommend that you trim it to your desired shape in late winter or early spring.
Our British grown service berry will enhance your garden.
