How to Turn Juice Cartons into Seed Trays

Phil McCann, our gardening expert, shows us this great trick of using old juice cartons as seed trays to get your plants off to the best start in life. Take a look at the video to see how you can recycle your own cartons and turn them into these cost effective seed trays - ideal for putting in a greenhouse, shed or on a windowsill.

Here is a cheap way of making a seed tray. Get yourself a juice carton: wash it out, cut off the top and pierce a few holes in the bottom for drainage. Perfect size for a window sill or a potting bench. Get your compost in there - get it into the corners and a bit more. Then you can sow absolutely anything into that. What could be easier?
