Sadly the small hops produced by Humulus lupulus 'Aureus' climbing 'hop' are not big enough for home brewing. However, it more than makes up for this with its large, coarse, tooth edged, vine-like leaves in a rich butter yellow colour, adding a vertical splash of sunshine to the garden. It is deciduous, so dies down in the autumn, but once the warmer temperatures arrive, erupts into a considerable growth spurt to once again decorate the garden pergola, gazebo, arbour or archway. It's highly attractive presence is worth waiting for.

Eventual height approx 2-2.5m and spread 1-1.5m each season.
