This vigorous Iris differs from its cousin Iris pseudacorus with its intense foliage colour, creating a drift of eye-catching yellow and cream variegated, upright foliage with brown veined, egg yolk yellow flowers held above. A native water iris It grows happily in moist soil in both a bog garden or as an aquatic marginal. Easy to grow and a good attractor of wildlife, particularly dragon and damselflies whose larvae use the stems to emerge from the water, it is an excellent plant for the pool area of a sustainable planting scheme.

Available as 3L plant.
