Love-in-a-Mist Nigella Persian Jewels provides blooms in a captivating range of colours that will create a spectacular display from May right through to September, once the flowers have finished they are quickly followed by fascinating ornamental seed pods that last through autumn and winter. Ideal for adding to a bedding display or a mixed border. The pretty, delicate flowers are a charming mix of pink, mauve, rose, blue and white.

Persian Jewels will grow to a height of 40-50cm and has a spread of 20-30cm.

Nigella seeds have a culinary use in cakes, breads and curries, Jamie Oliver recommends sprinkling Nigella seeds of naan bread before baking in the oven.

Sow Love-in-a-Mist Nigella Persian Jewels on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx 15-21 °C from late January to late April on the surface of a good seed compost, firm down and keep compost damp but not too wet, transplant seedlings, spacing them out to 50mm apart, when established plant out in the ground at a distance of 25cm apart after all danger of frost has passed.
